Mandarin speaking English Language tutor assistant in Papanui

A Mandarin speaking volunteer is needed to support the tutor in an ESOL class working with Mandarin speaking students who are learning English. The volunteer will work one on one with learners or in small groups assisting them with class activities under the guidance of the tutor. Volunteers need to be able to attend their allocated session each week during term time. The class is held in Papanui on Tuesday mornings 9am-12pm

Requirements:

Mandarin speaker with a good level of English, clear speech, good listening skills, conversation skills, confident, sensitivity, personable, interest in people from other countries, non judgmental attitude, positive outlook and assertiveness skills.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Tuesday mornings 9am-12 noon
