Support adults to improve their reading and writing. Sessions held in Spreydon on Wednesdays 1:30-3pm. You will be working one on one with one learner at a time who needs extra support them with a range of learning activities. There are 3 learners in total. Initial orientation training will be given with ongoing support from the tutor. The sessions are held in a secure facility. Police clearance is needed first.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to support adult native speakers to improve their skills. Annual volunteer training session and end of year volunteer lunch. Free parking at venue. Satisfaction of helping others.
Good level of oral and written English and basic maths skills. Some experience in working in a classroom or working with adults is needed.
