At Eastern Eagles we want to create a positive and safe space for children to get out of
their comfort zone and try new things while also learning life skills such as team work,
communication and much more.
As a Coach you would:
Run weekly trainings for ages 5-6 years and attend weekend games (Saturdays)
Communicate well your team manager
If we have weekend prize giving after games, we would like you to attend and report on:
How your team performed during their game
Who received player of the day and why
Trainings:
Run basic ball skill drills.
Give game knowledge suitable for the age group you are coaching
Set up and pack down of drills
Game day:
Taking the team for warm up drills before game
Subbing players on and off field during games
Encouraging players
Refereeing games (but not always)
End of year Prize Giving:
Nominate players who you feel are deserving of the award/s
If you haven’t done anything like this before that is okay as we expect all our coaches to attend a coaching course (prior to season). We only ask that you come with confidence when fulfilling this role.
