We are looking for someone who has experience as a photographer, good communication skills, ability to be efficient, maintain client confidentiality and an awareness of personal boundaries.

Being able to work with/be part of a team; committed; reliable; have a sense of humour; comfortable working with clients face to face; non-judgmental; understanding; respect for our families.

TASKS

  • Take photos of families for case studies/success stories.
  • Liaise with the Volunteer Coordinator for families to interview.
  • Obtain media consent from every family photographed.
  • Maintain full confidentiality on all matters relating to clients and the organisation
  • Keep accurate travel statistics and present them promptly to the Volunteer Coordinator at the end of each month.
  • Debrief with Volunteer Coordinator or Manager (if Volunteer Coordinator is not available) after each visit via phone/face to face.
Requirements:

Police Vetting
Two referees
Driving License
Own camera
Previous photography experience

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Four hours each month for a minimum of six months.
Report to Programme Support and Volunteer Coordinator before/after each visit
Attend training as required by Birthright Canterbury Trust
Supervision as required
