Woolston Development Project Incorporated is an incorporated society based in Woolston, Christchurch, and serves the local community with a range of programmes and projects. We offer OSCAR programmes (after school and holiday programmes (and age specific activities for 10-13 year olds within the after school programme), a Family Support Service (client based peer support work), a women's social support group, walking group, lunch group and other community activities. We are looking for people who have experience in governance roles and care deeply about the community and the people in it.
Legally eligible to be in a governance position in New Zealand
Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
Ideally living in the Woolston-Linwood-Phillipstown-Bromley-Opawa area though this is not a deal breaker
Proven experience in governance roles and/or professional roles, including human resources
The willingness to work in partnership in a spirit of good faith and mutual support with other board members and our manager
Inclusive and accepting
An understanding of due process
4-5 hours month (reading information sent out by email, attending board meetings etc., other tasks as needed)
