Volunteering Canterbury is Canterbury's one-stop shop for everything to do with volunteering. With over 250 member organisations, it is Canterbury's leading agency for information, training, support, advocacy, and placement of volunteers.
It is governed by a volunteer Board of up to 11 people, and there is currently a vacancy for a Board member with demonstrated accounting and/or finance knowledge and experience.
Board meetings are held monthly (2 hours) and there is an expectation that members will attend all meetings. Additionally, there will be opportunity to contribute ideas, and advice through your area of expertise. Interested? We'd be keen to talk with you!
You will be helping Volunteering Canterbury's work to ensure that people and communities in our area prosper through volunteering.

Experience and knowledge in accounting and/or finance.
A working knowledge of Xero.
Prior board experience an advantage but not required.
Approximately 4 hours per month, including Board meetings.
