I am a 38 year old young man with an intellectual disability. I find busy noisy environments difficult and I like quiet people and quiet conversation.
I would like to have some meaningful work, such as volunteering at a charity shop, and helping with vacuuming and sorting shop items.
I am a great dresser! It is important to me and so every day I dress nicely and head out into the community using the buses around Christchurch or on foot. Recently I was interviewed by the Humans of Christchurch Otautahi.
I am also interested in learning some office skills such as photocopying, and operating a laminator, or other new skills so that I can bump up my CV with some new skills and work experience. I am an enthusiastic collector of Star Wars and Dr. Who memorabilia, and would love someone to support me to learn new skills and sometimes to go and play 10 Pin Bowls with at Garden City Bowls from time to time.
