Mahi Arohanui o Tamariki Aotearoa (MAOTA)Trust is a new and exciting trust that is yet to get itself established.
we are small charitable trust that is about supporting Tamariki in their school education.
We look to work with 10 canterbury schools this year and needing some help in many areas of the trust and Board.
We need volunteers who can commit some time either on the board or helping with getting things going.
We are currently looking for 3-5 board members who can commit at least from approx. 5 to 20 hours a week. NO experience is needed.
Board meetings are fortnightly you can either join the meeting in person or online, would prefer in person for the first couple of months.
We have a secretary role and Treasurer role to fill.
The Treasurer
The treasurer role is suitable for accountant or a bookkeeper who may have retired but still likes to keep things in tune.
You will have signing authority on the account and work with xero.
It may also suit someone who has business experience and can offer some help.
The Secretary Role.
This would suit someone who may have experience in secretarial role or administration.
Your main role would be taking notes for our meetings, setting up agenda, to also have signing authority on the account and working close with board members.
you will require to have word, excel, and google doc, google sheets knowledge must also know Microsoft teams.
Be available to help with the day-to-day stuff of getting the trust established and flying.
These are just some of the main roles, but we do have other roles are available like advertising, marketing, project manager, Fundraisings manager, sales consultant, operation manager, funding officer, HR, social worker, youth workers, Executive director.

NO bankruptcy, criminal convictions - theft, over the age 18.
Must be able to come to fortnightly meetings for the first 2 months in person.
must have transport as these meeting is after 6pm.
A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.
