Are you someone who loves tinkering behind the scenes?
PIPS is looking for some volunteers to help with our equipment sorting, checking, repairing and cleaning! Each week we receive a range of amazing items such as prams, cots, car seats and bouncers etc. These items need to be checked to ensure they meet both our safety and dignity standards. That’s where our tinkers come in!
We might receive a pram that needs a good clean-up, or its tyre replaced, or a cot that needs assembling to make sure all the bolts/parts are there ready to gift to a deserving new family. Or it might be a car seat that needs its covers removed and cleaned. No two days will be the same!
If you love problem solving or tinkering away at your own pace and most of all want to give back to your local community – this would be a perfect role for you.
Ideally, you’ll be someone who:
• Is a great communicator
• Is a quick learner
• Loves getting their hands dirty and fixing things
• Is creative and likes to think outside the box
• Enjoys tea and chocolate (not really a prerequisite, but we always have a good supply!)
