We have found that the learners intend to practice their reading and writing - but do not. So, as a Literacy Coach, you will help the learners practice reading, writing, and spelling weekly, generally up to an hour either once or twice a week. You will need to video-conference (Zoom, Google Meet or Skype) with your learner and create an individualised plan for their learning needs. You work together to develop goals and select materials and activities to help learners reach their goals. This role is very important, and by doing it, you can change an adult or teenager's learners' lives and that of their family. You will be helping rural and/or isolated students to improve their possibilities and self-esteem. All training and support required will be provided. By participating in this volunteering opportunity, you are helping achieve the following United Nations Sustainability Goals. Goal 10 - Reduced inequalities
Note: Applicants must be at least 16 years old to apply.
