The Bishopdale Community Trust was established in 1999 to support people in the northwest area of Christchurch, in particular Bishopdale. We do this by: - Operating a drop-in community hub for locals; including hosting weekly Community Morning Tea (every Monday) and Community Lunch (every Thursday) - Running groups and activities; Tech Support sessions for people struggling with their IT, Mahjong, Card Making Club, NeuroConnection - a group for parents of neurodiverse children, Women's Social Walking Group, Scrabble, Rummikub, Craft, 500, and other special events throughout the year. - Helping people feel part of the community. - Publishing the quarterly Bishopdale Bulletin newsletter which is delivered to 3500 homes and businesses throughout Bishopdale and also available online. - Maintaining the online Bishopdale Directory which provides information on activities, groups and clubs, services, places of worship, schools, shops and businesses in the Bishopdale area. - Supporting local families by distributing bread to local schools and preschools weekly; and by managing an annual Christmas "Giving Tree" and Hamper Drive so those less fortunate still have a magical Christmas for their families. Drop into our community hub, Monday to Thursday between 10am and 3pm for a chat over a cuppa, meet old friends, make new ones, and feel connected and supported. Or have a look online www.bishopdalecommunity.org.nz for a full timetable of activities. All are welcome!
