Motor Neurone Disease NZ supports people living with motor neurone disease, their carers, families/whanau, and health professionals through support, education, advocacy, and research. Support is provided free of charge from first diagnosis until end-of-life, enabling those affected to have the best quality of life for as long as possible. Our regional Support Advisors provide free, personalised support and advocacy for almost every person with motor neurone disease in New Zealand, from Stewart Island to Northland. Our Support Advisors help link their clients with the appropriate health care professionals from multi-disciplinary teams of physiotherapists, dietitians, occupational therapists, speech language therapists, and community nurses across New Zealand. Support Advisors can also act on their client’s behalf to navigate government agencies and specialist equipment services. They work together with people with MND, and their families, to enable them to have the best quality of life possible. https://www.facebook.com/mndanz/ https://www.instagram.com/mnd_nz/?hl=en https://nz.linkedin.com/company/mndnz
