We have two teams of volunteers (events, and crafts) and we would love a person who has had leadership or management skills to be in charge of them. The role encompasses:

  1. Recruitment (placing adverts should we be short of volunteers) and retention of new and current volunteers
  2. Scheduling for events
  3. Ensuring those rostered on are reminded to ensure we have enough adequate helpers at events etc.
  4. Ensuring we have an on call list of volunteers in case someone is unavailable at short notice.
  5. Inducting new volunteers with health and safety procedures.
  6. Attending any events to ensure volunteers have arrived and are happy.
  7. Keeping in regular contact with our knitters, crocheters and sewers to see if need anything

Requirements:

Great communication skills, time management skills, ideally some HR experience but not essential , good computer skills

Time commitment:

The position can be done at hours that suit you from home approximately 5 hrs a week to keep in touch with our volunteers sometimes it might be a little more if there is an upcoming event or less if there are no events for a while
