This is an unique opportunity to serve Tane and Wahine who are reintegrating into society after time in prison. Whilst our team of Reintegration Navigators provide professional support, it is direct connection with the community that often creates the most profound impact in their lives. In many ways there is nothing more important than for these people to be embraced by the community as volunteers are so important to the transformation of their lives and their whanau.
We are currently seeking volunteers to help facilitate our community writers group that will be held in Turanga Library. You don’t need to be creative or a writer, just be willing to be a warm, genuine person who connects naturally with others, shares openly, and walks alongside participants without taking on a therapeutic role.
Pathway Trust is a Christian organisation so we are seeking volunteers that are comfortable in this environment and able to align with key principles of forgiveness, mercy, and aroha.
We ask that people who sign up are able to maintain their commitment to turn up, this group can be transformative for our clients and their whanau and an essential part of their journey is experiencing consistency and faithfulness from the community.
We are looking for people who are willing to be available either fortnightly or joining on a monthly roster
Thursdays evenings
6:30pm to 7:30pm at Turanga Library.
Getting started:
The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below.

Our clients are people with criminal records, and whilst anyone is welcome to our community based group, we require a background check on volunteers because of their proximity to our clients.
