About the City Mission
The Christchurch City Mission, Te Whare Mīhana Ki Ōtautahi, is a social services agency offering support for those who need it, regardless of their circumstances. We offer assistance to those who are marginalised through social and economic factors and who are at risk through unemployment, inadequate housing, family breakdown, addiction, financial difficulties or mismanagement, abuse or other difficulty.
We work in preventative ways and in response to crisis with education and training, addiction support and counselling. Through our work in the community, we empower people to successfully re-integrate into society with renewed self-esteem, fostering independence.
