The Christchurch City Mission is seeking a volunteer maintenance/handyman to assist with various tasks around our busy complex. If you're handy with tools and enjoy making a difference, this opportunity is perfect for you!
We currently seek a dedicated volunteer to assist with general maintenance and repair tasks as part of our Property and Maintenance team.
Every shift will look different, so we’re after someone with a flexible approach to their work and willing to turn their hand to whatever needs doing; car washing and basic car maintenance, to building kitset sheds, carpet cleaning, gardening, pruning, testing and tagging electrical equipment, minor repair tasks, etc,
The voluntary days and hours are flexible, so if you’re ready to lend your skills and help us serve those who need it most, please apply today!
• Experience in general maintenance or handyman work
• Ability to perform basic repairs (tools provided)
• Dependable, with a positive attitude and good communication skills
• Interest in supporting a meaningful cause and making a difference in the community
• Flexible schedule and willingness to commit
3-4 hours each week (days and times are flexible and can be negotiated)
