Organisation:
Halswell Toy Library
Location:
Halswell
Category:
Youth & Children
Hours:
Evenings/Weekends

Want to make a difference without sacrificing much of your time? Join the Halswell Toy Library committee!

We know life is hectic, but this won’t take up much of yours. Plus, when we meet (monthly, usually on a weekday evening from 7.00pm to 8.00/8.30pm), there are always snacks on hand to keep you going! 🍪🎉

And the best part (aside from meeting new people and developing new skills)? Free toy library membership for your kids, kids in your care, the grandkids etc! 🙌

Get involved, have fun, and help us bring more joy to tamariki (children) in our community.

While not a necessity, we are especially looking for people with social media, marketing, fundraising, and grant application writing skills, as most of our committee members have a portfolio.

Requirements:
  • Enthusiasm for the health and vitality of a non-profit community service that provides families with quality, sustainable toys and resources for tamariki aged 6 months to 10 years to encourage learning through play.
  • A can-do attitude. We're small, but mighty, so we muck in when and where we can.
  • Initiative and ideas.
  • A keenness to meet new people and potentially develop new skills.
Time commitment:

1 to 1.5 hours a month for the meeting and 0 to 8 hours a month for additional work which is very role-dependent (e.g. posting on social media, emailing or calling sponsors, applying for grants, replying to emails, getting toy quotes, purchasing toys etc).

Getting started:
The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below. We will then put you in touch directly with the organisation for more information on the role and how to proceed.
