Cooking lunch on a roster basis for a community women's group

'Women's Connections', run by Neighbourhood Trust, meets every Tuesday from 12 - 2pm in our Whanau Centre at 49 Nancy Avenue, Mairehau. A simple lunch is provided at the beginning and this is a way of the women connecting together as well as receiving a healthy meal once a week. As the group has grown, help is now needed so the leader can focus on other aspects of the weekly preparation. There is a small budget for ingredients.

Requirements:
  • Ability to cook healthy, simple meals in the volunteer's own home within a low cost budget
  • Able to follow food safety and hygiene best practices
  • Able to deliver the prepared food to 49 Nancy Avenue, Mairehau by 11.45am on the day of rostered cooking
  • All receipts for ingredients to be handed to the organiser when the food is delivered so reimbursement can be arranged
Time commitment:

Rostered cooking includes planning, shopping for ingredients, food preparation & delivery to the Whanau Centre
