As a foster parent, you will provide temporary care, love and support to rescued cats and kittens until they are ready for adoption. Fostering a cat or kitten(s) is a truly rewarding experience - all you need is time, patience and a love for our feline friends.
Cats and kittens in our care come from various backgrounds - some are friendly and healthy, while others are stray, abandoned or neglected. Most range in age from four to 10 weeks, though we take in felines of all ages.
Your primary responsibilities as a foster parent will include:
Since Cat Care does not have a shelter, all rehoming is conducted directly between the foster parent and the adopting family.
We provide everything you need to foster, including all necessary supplies and ongoing support, training and guidance from our experienced team.
Our volunteer network is the heart of what we do - without our team of foster parents, we simply couldn't operate.
While summer - kitten season - is our busiest time of the year, fostering varies depending on the needs of the cat(s) or kitten(s), and the season. Some may need short-term care of a few weeks, while others require longer stays. Fostering is also flexible. For example, if you have a holiday coming up, let us know and we can organise another foster parent to "babysit" while you're away.
