Do you dream in formulas? See the world in pivot tables? Get a thrill from making messy data behave? Then we need YOU!
PIPS (Pregnancy Infancy Parenting Support) is on the lookout for a spreadsheet-savvy volunteer to help us whip our Excel database into shape. Our current setup needs a little magic—tweaking formulas, adjusting layouts, and making it match our client form so we can better track the support we provide to whānau.
We reckon it’s about a 4-hour job (maybe less for a true Excel wizard!), and you can do it from home or join us at our drop-in centre, where there’s always a hot cuppa, good banter, and probably some fresh baking. If you’re keen, there’s also the option of an ongoing role helping us keep the database up to date—because let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want to stick around with our awesome team?
What we’re looking for:
✔️ Someone with Excel know-how (formulas, formatting, and all that good stuff)
✔️ A kind soul willing to share some tips with our team so we can keep things running smoothly
✔️ A couple of spare hours to make a big impact on how we track and report our work
What you get:
✨ The satisfaction of helping a small but mighty charity support families in need
✨ A warm and welcoming team that values your time and skills
✨ Endless gratitude (and likely some delicious home baking)
PIPS provides practical and emotional support to families navigating pregnancy and early parenting, especially those facing hardship. We give out quality pre-loved baby gear, run mental wellness groups, breastfeeding support and ensure families don’t have to do it alone.
If you’re up for the challenge (or know someone who is), get in touch—we’d love to hear from you!
Skills and experience in Excel, data entry, confidentiality and someone who enjoys working with a small team and supporting families in need.
As the role will be helping to collate client forms and data, a confidentiality agreement will be signed as part of the induction process.
For a one-off project role a Police check is not needed, however if the volunteer chooses to continue supporting PIPS with database and data entry support as part of our team, a Police check will be required (as per our volunteer requirements at PIPS).
2-4 hours approx. (potentially less for a true Excel wizard!)
Getting started:
The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below.
We will then put you in touch directly with the organisation for more information on the role and how to proceed.
