"Community Connect" run by Rowley Community Centre, meets every Friday from 11-1pm in our Centre at 89 Rowley Ave, Hoon Hay. A simple lunch is provided; this is a way of our community can connect together as well as receiving a healthy meal once a week. As the group has grown, help is now needed so the leader can focus on other aspects of the weekly preparation. There is a small budget for ingredients.
• Ability to cook healthy soup for lunches for 12 people, in the volunteer's own home within a low-cost budget
• Able to follow food safety and hygiene best practices
• Able to deliver the prepared food to 89 Rowley Ave, Hoon Hay, before 10.45am
• All receipts for ingredients to be handed to the manager when the food is delivered so reimbursement can be arranged
Cooking includes planning, shopping for ingredients, food preparation & delivery to the Rowley Community Centre on a weekly basis.
