Clothed in Love is a children's clothing charity established in 2020 by two Mums. We collect preloved (and new) clothing and book donations from thousands of families, groups and individuals. These are then sorted, packed and delivered free of charge to whānau all over our city. Each pack is a gift not a hand out and is individualised to every child.
THE IMPACT OF OUR PACKS IS TO PROVIDE:
CLOTHED IN LOVE NOW CELEBRATES:
Our Clothed in Love community is one where people are at the heart of what we do. It is a joy to be involved and we would appreciate someone who brings positivity as well as expertise to the role. Our Board Members value working as a team for the benefit of those we support. An understanding and alignment with our vision is crucial.
We are looking to supplement our Board with individuals who bring a diversity of skills, perspectives, and experiences.
ACROSS OUR APPOINTMENTS WE ARE LOOKING FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH:
We value diversity on our Board, and strongly encourage expressions of interest from people of all ethnic backgrounds, members of marginalised communities and others from underrepresented groups, particularly those with lived experience of systemic barriers.
We strongly encourage expressions of interest from Māori and those with a deep understanding of te ao Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
You may not tick all the boxes, however, even if you think you do not, we encourage you to put your name forward.
Board meetings are held in person, on a quarterly basis, in Ōtautahi Christchurch. Occasionally, Board members form sub-committees to work on specific projects.
Getting started:
The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below.
We will then put you in touch directly with the organisation for more information on the role and how to proceed.
