Due to the nature of the volunteer work we do, there is a rigorous application process which is ... 1. Complete application form and computer quiz. Most of the work we do involves using computers - databases, email and internet search engines. 2. If your application is successful, we arrange a meeting (informal interview/chat) so that you can learn more about the work we do, and so we can get to know you better. At this time, you can also do an observation in a branch to see if volunteering with CAB feels right for you. 3. Complete a police check. 5. Attend a 5 full day training programme.
Once trained we ask volunteers to commit to working at least 4 hours a week. Our expectation is that volunteers will stay with CAB for at least two years.
