Community Hub Handyman

Organisation:
Phillipstown Community Centre Charitable Trust
Location:
Philipstown
Category:
Trades & Maintenance
Hours:
Working Hours

As a community hub running out of an old closed down school, we do what we can to keep the place up and running but could always use some experienced hands to help guide projects and ideas to improve our facilities.

Whether you're keen to help for a one-off job or become an ongoing support for this community, any donation of time and expertise would be most grateful.

Jobs could include:

  • Improving H&S through general property maintenance.
  • Plumbing assistance.
  • Building shelving / improving storage options.
  • Painting spaces or staining exterior structures.
  • We have ideas to add clearlight roof to our outdoor structure for wet weather. Helping source affordable material and then ensuring safe installment.
  • Any other ideas that could make this space more welcoming, safe and accessible.

The list goes on, so if you're open to donating some time, pop in and we can show you around.

Requirements:

Any volunteer is welcome but experience/qualifications and the know-how to carry out projects safely and professionally would be ideal.

Time commitment:

No set expectations. It would depend on what type of work / project you're keen to help with.

Getting started:
The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below. We will then put you in touch directly with the organisation for more information on the role and how to proceed.
