As Treasurer, you will oversee the financial affairs of the organisation, overseeing compliance, accountability, and strategic financial planning.
This role involves budgeting, financial planning, risk management, and fundraising support.
The Treasurer also acts as a key financial liaison between the board and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain oversight of financial records and reporting
• Prepare budgets and monitor financial performance
• Oversee compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Present financial updates at board meetings
• Support funding applications and grant reporting
Ideal Candidate:
• Preferably has local connections to the Waimakariri and Hurunui districts
• Experience in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping
• Familiarity with NfP financial practices and reporting
• Strong attention to detail and integrity
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly
• Commitment to the mission and values of the organization
A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.
The Board meets at 1:00pm – 3:00pm, on a six to eight-week basis, at the BSNC office in Rangiora.
