Pathway Trust seeks a dedicated volunteer to lead our established Bike Project within Christchurch Men's Prison—a transformative programme that equips young people with valuable mechanical skills whilst providing essential transport solutions for successful community reintegration.
You will facilitate fortnightly workshops teaching bicycle restoration and maintenance skills. This role involves sourcing bicycles and parts through partnerships with organisations such as Rad Bikes, whilst serving as a positive role model for young participants preparing for their return to the community.
Training and Support: Our current Bike Project Leader will provide comprehensive training and ongoing mentorship for as long as required. No prior prison experience is necessary—we provide full orientation and support.
