Earth+ Leaders Summit event volunteer

Organisation:
Terra Nova Foundation
Location:
Central
Category:
Events
Hours:
Both/Flexible

The Earth Positive (Earth+) Leaders Summit is a dynamic gathering of leaders, visionaries and changemakers where bold thinking is ignited and champion real-world action for Earth is born. It is a unique calling for the wellbeing of our planet and us. It brings the magic, the joy and the practical jump forward for real change through inspiring people, interactive sessions and curated connections. In addition to building the future together, the day includes a lineup of changemaking speakers from different industries sharing what it really takes to make the shift. This is unfettered, groundbreaking insight not heard before.

We are looking for value-aligned volunteers who are able to offer hands and brains to making our Earth+ Leaders Summit a huge success! We are expecting 100 attendees and the day includes speakers, music, a taskmaster event, and lunch, so as you can imagine there is a lot of work behind-the-scenes to make it all come together. On-the-day volunteer tasks involve greeting guests, managing registrations, set up and pack up of the event room, support for our event coordinator, capturing content (photos and videos) throughout the day, food and beverage service, and being part of creating a welcoming and joyful environment for the day. We will keep tasks staggered throughout the day so that you will have opportunities to attend speaker sessions and lunch and snacks will be provided.

Requirements:

Happy to get stuck in to a range of tasks, able to communicate effectively, be a team player. Able to do some heavy lifting in set up of room with plants, tables and transporting dishes. Be available for the volunteer induction, room set-up and event duration (outlined below).

Time commitment:

November 3rd | 5 - 6pm: Online induction session
November 4th | 5 - 7pm: Room set up on-site (Multicultural Centre, Hagley Avenue)
November 5th | 8am - 6pm: Event (including set up and pack down)

All volunteers are required to attend the online induction session. Ideally, we would like the same people to assist with both the November 4 and 5 sessions. However, if you would like to be involved but cannot commit to both/the full sessions let us know and we can talk with you about a shorter shift.

Getting started:
The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below. We will then put you in touch directly with the organisation for more information on the role and how to proceed.
