Hours:
  • Plant, water, prune, and care for flowers, shrubs, and trees.
  • Maintain garden beds, lawns, and pathways (weeding, mulching, mowing).
  • Assist with seasonal planting and harvesting in any vegetable or herb gardens.
  • Monitor plant health and report any issues (pests, disease, etc.).
  • Keep gardening tools and equipment clean and organized.
  • Work collaboratively with staff and other volunteers to plan and improve garden areas.
Requirements:
  • Interest in gardening and outdoor work.
  • Knowledge of plants and gardening techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform gardening tasks (lifting, bending, digging).
  • Reliability and a positive attitude.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Ideally, we are looking for someone who can commit long term to helping out in the garden area in the mornings (Monday to Friday) as this role is outside our building start and finish times are flexible.
