This role requires that the Van Assistant ensures that the members are safely walked from their home to the van in the morning and the taken from the van to their front door in the afternoon. The Van Assistant ensures that the member has their keys and whatever else is required for the day. The service covers the inner city of Christchurch and outskirts. There are two van runs in the morning and again in the afternoon. There is no driving involved.

The time commitment is from 8:45am - 11:00am and 2:30pm - 5:00pm. The time can be subject to the number of members and traffic conditions.
