Kia ora e te whānau,
Wai Ora invites volunteers to a special learning and mahi session focused on harakeke (NZ flax). Join us to learn mātauranga Māori, correct tikanga for harvesting, and how to care for our harakeke pā. This is a beautiful opportunity to connect with the environment, learn cultural practices, and support our kaupapa.
Our amazing kaiako, Gemell, will share her knowledge and guide us through harvesting techniques and tikanga. We will also do some practical volunteer mahi to help keep our harakeke in great condition.
