The Crusaders are excited to be hosting their annual Long Run event on Friday 23 January 2025 at Malvern Park, Christchurch, in an effort to raise money for Child Cancer Foundation 💙 The Crusaders would love to see Child Cancer Foundation tamariki and whānau get involved in this wonderful event. It will be a great chance to get out, meet some of the players and connect with family and friends. Their goal is to run or walk 10,000 laps together as a community and raise $300,000 for Child Cancer Foundation! Find out more about The Long Run at https://the-long-run-2026.raiselysite.com/. Some of the duties we will require help with:
• Child Cancer Foundation Marquee – accepting donations
• Bucket collection
• Ushers on the course – encouraging runners / spraying water if it’s a hot day
• Refilling water at stations / handing out water to participants
• Managing the face-painting station
• Overseeing the bag check area
• Registering participants and handing out bibs
• Managing the bib-decorating station
Must be able to stand for a few hours outside. Suncream, snacks and water will be provided.
The event is from 6am-6pm but volunteer hours are flexible, if you could please get in touch with your availability, we can work out what the right role for will be for you!
