This role requires someone who can listen carefully, both to understand the client's needs and to ensure their personal voice and story shine through in their CVs, cover letters, and applications.
At TechMate we are working hard to close the digital divide. As part of that mission we support people who struggle to use a device to write their own CV's or search for jobs online.
As a Job Application Specialist you would sit alongside someone and talk about their work history, skills, education, etc. and use that to craft them a professional looking CV. You will also help them navigate sites such as Seek or TradeMe Jobs to help them find and apply for jobs.
Key Qualities:
Patient and a good listener
Proficient in both verbal and written communication
Familiar with Microsoft Word
Familiar with online job sites such as Seek
Comfortable working with people from diverse backgrounds
Training on how to create CV's and Cover Letters will be provided, but existing experience will be helpful.
