General gardening duties at the YWCA. YWCA offer Transitional housing for women & children - we have beautiful gardens that need some TLC.
Part of our vision is ensuring we have a safe and welcoming facility for the clients that stay with us. Onsite we have garden areas both around the units and also within our onsite playground. We would love a friendly community member to help us out with keeping these gardens weed free and full of life for everyone to enjoy!
We would love someone every week but please get in touch with your availability and we may be able to work a roster. Materials & equipment needed will be provided by YWCA staff.
General duties will include:
•General garden maintenance – weeding, re-planting pots/ small flowers, mulching, watering plants, raking
•General Pruning - trimming back of trees around property, pruning trees & hedges - using hedge clippers
•Plant & Transplant – flowers, trees.
We very much appreciate any assistance you may be able to provide, however, we are only able to facilitate volunteers Mon-Fri 9-5pm so please bare that in mind when considering your availability. Thank you for considering us at YWCA :)
Must have knowledge of gardening and be capable of physical work. All tools supplied
Flexible to suit, between the hours of 9-3 Monday to Friday.
