Woolston Development Project is an MSD approved OSCAR programme provider. We run after school programmes from 3-5.30pm weekdays during school term times and holiday programmes running 8.30am-5.30pm in January, April, July and October. Our kids are culturally diverse - Māori, Pākehā, Pasifika, Filipino, Thai, Chinese, Japanese - to name but a few. We have a programme supervisor and various assistants who are employed on the programme. You'll get to do some cool things if you volunteer on the holiday programme especially!
You must be a secondary school student.
You must enjoy working with children who come from diverse backgrounds.
You must be willing to listen and learn from our OSCAR programme supervisor and other staff members.
The ideal person wouldn't attend school too far from Woolston so that they are able to arrive by 3.45-4pm at latest.
You must be warm, friendly, and caring.
You must be fully vaccinated as this is a requirement of all our volunteers and employees.
As negotiated. Generally one or two afternoons a week during term time (starting as soon as you can get to us from your school) and a whole day (roughly 9.30am to 3pm) each week of school holidays.
