House of Science need some volunteer drivers who can use their car to help us with delivery and collection of our science resource kits for primary and intermediate schools around Christchurch. Delivery of the kits is on a Monday or Tuesday morning between 8.00am and 10.00am. Collection of kits is on Thursday or Friday afternoons of the following week, after lunch. Kits are distributed from our base at 5A Validation Pl so this would be our collection and drop off location. Drivers have their mileage claim reimbursed at the end of each school term.
House of Science need some drivers to help us distribute and collect our science resource kits from primary and intermediate schools around Christchurch. You will need a car that can carry a number of our kits which are in large plastic bins and measure 65cmx45cmx40cm in size. Some kits are heavy to lift in and out of the car but we have trolleys that can help move them around. Kits must be dropped off on a Monday or Tuesday morning and collected on a Thursday or Friday after lunch. A mileage log should be kept by the driver in order to receive payment for mileage at the end of each term.
When rostering deliveries and pick ups we try to group schools in the same area together so both delivery and pick up of kits could take up to an hour. On Monday and Tuesday we try to get the kits out to schools as early as possible so most deliveries should be completed by 10.30 am. On collection days, Thursday and Friday kits can be collected from 1.00pm.
