This is an important job. You will meeting and greeting each client at the door of their home. You will walk with them to the van and make sure that they are safely seated. The clients at the Harakeke Day Programme have memory loss or dementia. They are older people who live alone or with family in the community. In the afternoon you will deliver the clients home making sure that they are happily inside their front door and settled for the evening. You will be seated in the rear of the van with the clients.
Excellent communication skills – able to have a good rapport with clients and the Driver
A warm, understanding and kind personality.
The ability to put clients at ease and make them feel comfortable.
Physically able to assist clients on and off the van.
Morning 8:30am - 11:00am
Afternoon 2:15pm -4:30pm
