Van Assistant

The clients that attend the Harakeke Day Programme have memory loss and dementia. You will walk with them from the van and make sure that they are safely inside their front door and settled for the evening.
You will sit in the rear of the van when transporting clients.

Requirements:

Excellent communication skills – able to have a good rapport with clients and the Driver
A warm, understanding and kind personality
The ability to put clients at ease and make them feel comfortable
Physically able to assist clients on and off the van

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Tuesday Afternoons 2:15pm -4:30pm
