Aviva is a Canterbury-based family and sexual violence agency. We offer an extensive range of integrated, specialist services to support all people, children, youth and adults, to live free from violence and overcome its enduring harms.
The Aviva Annual Street Appeal is our biggest fundraiser of the year. Volunteers will collect donations from passers-by at their local mall or supermarket for 2 hours between 9am and 6pm on Friday 23rd and/or Saturday 24th May 2025. We have collection sites available in Christchurch, Selwyn, and Waimakariri from 9am-6pm on both days.
Volunteers will be provided with an Aviva vest, bucket and collection materials, and assigned a site based on their time and location preferences.
Street Collectors need to be able to:
-Collect for at least two hours on either the Friday or the Saturday
-Transport themselves to and from their assigned collection site
-Return their collections to Aviva or a designated return site within one week of the Appeal
-Answer basic questions on Aviva services (training and information sheets available upon request)
-Be friendly and personable while representing Aviva.
2 hours between 9am and 6pm on Friday 23rd or Saturday 24th May 2025.
