Provide social support to an older person via regular companion walking of about an hour per week, . Many older people in our community are lonely and isolated as they receive few or no visitors. Age Concern Canterbury's Companion Walking service helps reduce loneliness by providing friendship and companionship through a volunteer walker enhancing the wellbeing and quality of life of the older person.
Clear Police check, referee check, ability to walk the distance the client requires. Must hold New Zealand residency or citizenship.
