Community Energy Action is Christchurch based charitable trust with a focus on helping low income people stay warm and healthy at home. One of its projects is the Curtain Bank which collects donated curtains from the public and recycles them into the homes of low income households for free. In 2014 more than 700 households were assisted by the Curtain Bank, often with curtains for more than one room. Our Curtain Bank is looking for a volunteer to fold and sort donated curtains which will be given away for free to low income families. The volunteer would be joining a small team that already consists of some long-term volunteers. We need someone willing to commit several hours per week, between 9 am - 4 pm on weekdays. The Curtain Bank has moved to 299 Tuam Street. To learn more about the Curtain Bank watch our video here: https://youtu.be/ez8uBdnovTM
