Who we are: the Phillipstown Community Centre Charitable Trust is a neighbourhood association working in the field of community development. Our area of interest is Phillipstown, Christchurch.
The Phillipstown Community Garden was established in 2015 by a local resident. Since then, it has expanded and grown and has become an amazing welcoming and inclusive space where people socialise while learning and sharing skills. The community garden feeds regularly the Community Pantry with its produce contributing to the food parcels for the most vulnerable members of our community.
Lydia, the Community Garden Facilitator, is looking for some more help and energy.
The role involves:
• assist with watering, weeding, planting and harvest as needed
• help with some grounds work which could include grass cutting
• assist with building garden structures i.e crates, supports, border edges
This role contributes to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal
