We are looking for volunteers to work at Creative Junk helping our customers during their visits and ensuring an attractive, functional and safe workplace. Greeting and serving customers, answering any queries they may have, helping with art suggestions etc.You would be required to cash handle and use our cash register.Not everything will be put back in its rightful place, so you may be asked to help with keeping the shop clean and tidy. You will also be restocking goods, ensuring they’re attractively displayed, and assisting with deliveries of new materials. An interest in recycling and some Art & Crafts skills would be an advantage but not essential. Reference available after six months.

Requirements:

Cash handling and some admin skills, with an interest in Art & Crafts and recycling. A reasonable standard of fitness and excellent communication skills are required. Able to work independently, be trustworthy and enjoy being part of a creative team.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

A 3 hour shift per week (weekly or fortnightly), on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday 11am-2pm or 2-5pm or Saturday 11am-1pm.
