Tutor assistants with a kiwi accent are needed to help ESOL students with English language conversation classes in the central city. Volunteers support the tutor and will work with small groups of learners assisting them with class conversation activities under the guidance of the tutor. Volunteers need to be able to attend their allocated session each week during term time. The classes are held in the central city and parking is limited onsite.
This role contributes to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 Quality Education
Good English language skills, supportive, patient, able to use initiative, assertive, flexible, able to help support development of conversation skills. Sensitivity and interest in folks from other cultures.
