Pick up residents from their private addresses in our minibus and take them onto a volunteer host, school or cafe for morning or afternoon tea and return them to their homes. Work with support of an assistant - typically assist up to 9 older people clients. Assist clients at venue and help with conversation. No special licence required.
Clean driver's licence. Knowledge of city environs helpful, but GPS supplied. Good communicator and able to relate to older people.
A Police Check is required. Must hold New Zealand residency or citizenship.
Will need to complete a Van Familiarisation Assessment via Age Concern.
Will need to complete the Staying Safe Driving Course via Age Concern.
Complete a First Aid course.
Complete a Moving and Handling course via Age Concern.
