Te Waka Aroha is a place of welcome based in the lounge at St Faith's Anglican Church in central New Brighton. As a kitchen volunteer you will help to prepare and serve a lunch offered on Tuesdays (to a group of volunteers working on a Vege Co-op that day) or on Wednesdays (a community lunch) each week.
You need to be someone who enjoys being around other people and willing to give a three hour time slot once a week or once a fortnight. You don't have to be experienced in kitchen work, just interested in learning how to prepare food and enjoy working in a small group providing a meal to the community. You will prepare and serve the food, tidy up after the lunch and be willing to work with health and safety requirements around kitchen work. You will leave when the work is done knowing the time you have given that day is appreciated and has made a difference to someone else's day
Each week or once a fortnight:
Tuesdays 10am - 1pm
Wednesdays 10am - 1pm
