The Society Of Rural History, which is based at Ferrymead Heritage Park, are looking for enthusiastic people to join their family to help preserve and advocate their extensive Rural History collection. The collection includes tractors, early farm machinery, memorabilia and an extensive collection of Rural History artefacts. This role requires no experience as the team are able to train and guide new members through the tasks required. Rural History at Ferrymead are on site on Thursdays, Sundays and Public holidays where they welcome visitors to view their collections and fundraise to continue projects such as the installation of a windmill which is currently underway.
The Rural History group are a easy going group that appreciate all volunteers to commit to at least one day per month. Those days are either Thursday, Sunday or Public Holidays.
We know your time is valuable and ask that on the day/days volunteers attend be approximately 6 hours.
