Lead small groups of visitors in a cheerful & enthusiastic style on walks in central Christchurch. As our walks combine information on our city's history, recent past and current development, guides need to have a good knowledge of Christchurch & Canterbury. However, Walk Christchurch has a range of resources to support guides, it provides structured induction/training & familiarisation for new guides as well as ongoing education/training for all guides. Guides are expected to be available for up to 4 walks each month in the busy visitor season, with a lesser commitment in other months. Each walk will involve up to 3 hours, including: leading the walk (2 to 2.5 hours). Guides are expected to be available for 2-4 training/education sessions each year.
