ESOL class tutor assistant needed - female volunteer with a kiwi accent needed. Tutor will explain what is required. Very regular attendance is essential.
Volunteers support the tutor in ESOL classes and will work one on one with learners or in small groups assisting them with class activities under the guidance of the tutor. Volunteers need to be able to attend their allocated session each week during term time. The classes are held in Wigram.
This role contributes to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 Quality Education

Requirements:

Very good English language skills in reading and writing, supportive, patient, able to use initiative, reliable, assertive, interested in folks from different cultures

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

12:30 - 2:30pm Thursday afternoons
