In this role as a volunteer you will: - Have a passion to inspire girls and young women to reach their full potential and learn new skills - Support girls to drive their own learning through fun, challenging and exciting programmes, that lead to recognition and awards. - Be encouraging, assertive and patient - Be a hands-on leader and learner - Meet new people and become part of a worldwide network You will be given FREE leadership training, mentoring, and all uniform is provided.

Requirements:

During the school term our GGNZ leaders: - Attend a weekly session (in person) for up to two hours - Helping plan the term's activities and deliver them to the girls - Complete occasional evening / weekend training as required - Attend occasional leader / planning meetings, and trips or camps We are welcoming leaders to come and join our youngest group - Ilam Pippins (5-7yrs)- Monday 3.30 - 4.30pm. Also to join Westburn Brownies (7 - 9.5yrs) - Monday 4.30 - 6pm
There is no experience needed, but we need reliable volunteers and previous experience working with youth is an advantage. GirlGuiding New Zealand 's health and safety policy also has requirements around adult to child ratios, so this opportunity is best suited to someone 18yrs or older.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

This role would require 1 – 1 1/2 hrs a week when attending a weekly meeting. More time is needed when planning camps or other events outside of weekly meetings.
