In this role as a Volunteer you need to have a passion to inspire girls and young woman to reach their full potential and learn new skills - Support girls to drive their own learning through fun, challenging and exciting programmes, that lead to recognition and awards - Be encouraging, assertive and patient, a hands-on leader and learner. You will be given FREE leadership training, mentoring and all uniform is provided.
During the school terms our GGNZ leaders - attend a weekly session (in person) for up to two hours; Help plan the term's activities and deliver them to the girls; Complete occasional evening/weekend training as required; Attend occasional Leader/planning meetings, trips or camps.
We are welcoming leaders to come and join - Rolleston Guides (9 - 12.5yrs) - Monday 6 - 8pm. There is no experience needed but we do need reliable volunteers and previous experience working with youth is an advantage. Girlguiding New Zealand's health and safety policy has requirements around adult to child ratios so this opportunity is best suited to someone 18years or older.
This role would require about two hours per week when attending a weekly meeting. more time is needed when planning camps or other events outside of weekly meetings.
